SEVEN DAYS SIX NIGHTS OVERLAND AND KOMODO LIVEABOARD
This is the specialist tour package make for everyone who wanna explore the beatifull flores island and the komodo national park.
Day 1.MAUMERE-LEPO LORUN-KOKA BEACH-MONI VILLAGE
our guide will pick you up from the airport of Maumere, it is located in the east part of flores island. If you arrive in the morning then you just need to drive to the LEPO LORUN ikat weaving. This place is located at Nita district of maumere. Where you can see The actraction of woman of sikka clan on weaving ikat. Back from this place depart to KOKA BEACH located about 48 kilometers from maumere, ±1 hour 30 minutes drive. This schedule is depend on what time you arrive at the airport, if arrive in the afternoon need to be skip one of this place. You may have lunch at KOKA BEACH. depart to moni village which is locates about 35 kilometers can be reached in 1 hour. moni village is a transit village before you hike up to the 3 crater lakes. Is a small village but surround by many hotel and restaurant. Dinner could be at the hotel or local restaurant.
Day 2:KELIMUTU CRATER LAKES-BLUE STONE BEACH-RIUNG 17 ISLANDS.
This day gonna be a busy day and have to start the day early in the morning.
Wake up at 4 am in the morning, (your guide will brief you the day before of what you need to prepare for this trekking). Depart to the parking area from the hotel for about 45 minutes, and walking up to the top point for 25 minutes. This place is so mystic by locals so we have to be respect to any rules . Many kind of bird voices colour your trekk. The point to be up there early morning is to see the sunrise and the 3 crater lakes, because when you late you may not see the lakes, due to the cloud will cover all the area. There gonna be locals sale their trditional ikat and flores coffee. So prepare your enough cash. Walking back to the parking area and drive to the hotel and having breakfast. Leave the village of moni and drive along the way to the west part. You may past the traditional fruit market belong to the locals. The journey still need ±3 hours to ende town the place you can restock your pocket beacuse its the only place with ATM and if you want to go shopping there will be mini market. Because the next transit place is quite remote so prepare everything here. Your lunch will be at blue stone beach the place with variation of seafood and located next to the ocean. From this place you still have to drive for ±4 hours to go to Riung 17 islands. The transit town to go to the island, where you spend the night. There are few local hotels and restaurant arround. Dinner could be in the hotel or in the other restaurant.
Day 3:SAILING TO 17 ISLANDS-MANGERUDA HOTSPRING-BAJAWA
this day is a BBQ day and snorkling day on the island. Prepare your swimming clotes the night before. Having breakfast in the hotel and depart to the harbour and meet the locals who gonna take you to the island. You may visit 3 different island, the first one to swim or snorkling and second one is to have bbq. This place is recommended for you because its not the busy like other place, the beach is very clear and water is crystal. You may have lunch early this day because you still need to drive to bajawa. After lunch you gonna see the place which life by billion of flying foxes. After that back to the land and pack your stuff and leave the place. bajawa is about 4 hours from this place due to bumpie road, 40 minutes before you arrive at bajawa your guide will lead you to the hotspring, the place known as a sulphur acrivities from the Volcano.its believe as a traditional trapi for any skin disease by locals. Spend sometimes there while streching your body from a long drive. Drive to bajawa as a transit town and overnight. This place is known as coffee area for locals because most of farmers own the coffee plantation, you can ask your guide to help you if you wanna buy some. There are many hotel and few restaurant arround where you can have dinner.
Day 4:BENA VILLAGE-ARAK PROCESSING-RUTENG
Day four you may visit bena village, on of the old village of ngada clan. Located 45 minutes from the town just below the active volcano. Early morning drive through the local Civilization with a view of a volcano and many traditional house. Once you arrive at the village you may walk through the houses and interact with locals, which is woman is doing ikat weaving and man is in the farm. Back from the village you will have to drive ±3-4 hours to the next stop. Next stop is an arak processing place, where the man climb up the lontar/palm tree and take liquid(long process) to fertilitate and the result is the arak. You may try some or buy some to support them. Lunch will be in next 30 minutes but your guide will book the table from the morning as its the only restaurant in the town. After lunch will drive for about 4 hours to Ruteng town. the place where you can stay overnight. There are few minimarket and ATM where you can fill your pocket again.
Day 5:SPIDERWEB RICE FIELD-TODO VILLAGE-LABUAN BAJO
Having breakfast in the hotel, and drive for 30-40 munutes to the first destination spiderweb rice field. here you can hike up only for 10 minutes and enjoy the panorama of a rice field shapes like a spider web. Back to the parking area and continue the journey for about 1 hour to the Traditional house of Todo. Is a unique place live by locals with very strong tradition and culture. From this place you will drive for ±3 hours to the Lunch place(Lembor) one of the big ricefield area on flores, make your drive to labuan bajo unforgetable. Labuan bajo is about 3 hours drive from this place. 40 minutes before Labuan bajo you may see the view of its town and the sunset probably. Check in the hotel and if you not tired you can walk arround the town. There are so many western restaurant and big hotel, sturbuck, kfc will be arround.
Day 6:KELOR ISLAND-RINCA ISLAND-KALONG ISLAND
Early morning depart to the harbour and jump on to the phinisi boat, sail to the first destination for the trekking and beach time. Kelor island is one of the place where you can hike and see the view of a fisherman village and crystal water. Back to the boat and continue to Rinca island.Lunch will be on the way to Rinca islandisland which can take about 1 hour 30 minutes. Walking the on the island to sea the giant Komodo dragon, wild dear, wildpig, buffalos, horses, and many monkey. The ranger will lead your trek. Back to the boat and sail to Kalong island for about 40 minutes and wait the sun goes down and see the bats flying out to find the food. The night will be arroundKalong island or captain will find the save place to stay the night.
Day 7:PADAR ISLAND-LONG BEACH-MANTA POINT-LABUAN BAJO
Wake up early in the morning about 4 am, and get ready to hike up the Padar island. Is about more then 800 steps to the top of the island. But its paid by the scennery of the three different beach which make Padar island is the most visited place in the park. Get down and back to the boat and continue the sail to Long beach.is about 45 minutes sail. Long beach With its pink sandy beach and clear crystal water make your time so different. Luch will be on the way to manta point. It takes about 1 hour sail to manta point. the place where you can snorkling with Manta ray, sharks, turtles, and beatifull coral reefs. Back to Labuan bajo and farewell ro the crew and guide who lead you for one week tour. your guide may take you back to the airport for the flight or back to the hotel for one more night.
